I am originally from Accra, Ghana. When I was young, I lost both my parents. I lost my mother when I was 10 years old and my father when I was 15 years old. I came to the United States at the age of 25 around the same time my son was born. I moved around frequently in the states from New Jersey to Kentucky to Ohio where I lived for 10 years. In 2016, I moved to Georgia because I wanted a fresh start. I started my career in cosmetology attending Paul Mitchell the School Esani, while I worked the 3rd shift as a night auditor. After graduating, I realized that cosmetology was not the career I wanted to follow. In 2019, I became an author by writing an autobiography about my life titled, “There’s Freedom in Truth". l Iost connections with my family because I told my truth. After my first book, I went through lots of financial struggles but received help from a charity organization. I saw how many people were going through the same struggle I was going through. Losing both parents, becoming homeless, and being sexually assaulted I knew how it felt to believe nobody cares for you. I have seen it all and it isn’t good for any young child to have to go through life without the help of their parents or family. That’s why I founded the Stella Love Non-Profit in March 5, 2020. I want to create an environment for children and youth who don’t have a place to call home. To welcome them into a community that loves and cares for them, a place where they can feel safe and loved, so they can learn and develop their talents. To prepare them for the future.

A fourth-year at Brown University concentrating in neuroscience, with a passion for medicine, research, and community leadership. Matthew is the chairman of Stella Love Non-profit, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to addressing food insecurity, supporting children's education, and providing resources for single-parent households and underserved communities in the greater Atlanta area. Matthew has also conducted research in a Lab with Dr. Shane Lee on adaptive Deep Brain Stimulation (aDBS), exploring personalized approaches to treating the neurological disorder of Parkinson's disease and its symptoms. Through his commitment to exploration, service, and scientific discovery, he aspires to pursue a career as a neurosurgeon or neurologist.

Being born in a big family and being a middle child always helped me to see things differently about my siblings. I was always taking care of everyone. That helped me to grow fast and wanted to always help others when I grow up. I went to school for Tourism and hospitality, and I learned a lot about people and different cultures from all over the world. And putting other People’s needs first before yours. And I always like to help people, when my friend Stella Love told me about her non-profit and asked me to be part of it. I was very excited because I love what she does, helping those in need and putting them first before her needs. God has a purpose for each and every one of us. And putting that purpose to work is amazing. I love to be part of something great and helping those in need. Stella made my purpose come true by asking me to be part of her non-profit organization.

He currently oversees the Shipping and Receiving Unit at Carton Craft Supply, USA. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Logistics and as a Lead Consultant, providing advisory support in the establishment of gold-buying and export companies in Ghana. Felix brings significant banking and leadership experience from his tenure at Universal Merchant Bank, where he served as Head of Operations for the Consumer Banking Division and as a standing member of the Bank’s Business Operational Risk Committee. He also served on a seven-member Process Re-engineering Team that contributed to improving operational efficiency and service delivery. A strong advocate for professional development, Felix has coached and mentored cross-functional teams and served as a Facilitator at the Bank’s Training School. His previous roles include Branch Manager, Customer Service Manager, and Relationship Manager. The daughter of an Iranian doctor and an American science teacher, Suzi Ehtesham- Zadeh was born in Washington, D.C., came of age in Iran under the Shah, and later traveled back to the United States to attend university, receiving a degree in philosophy from Stanford University in 1978. The Islamic Revolution began brewing during her senior year, and shortly after graduating, she returned to Iran and plopped herself down in the middle of it. In search of a happy medium between her two cultures, she later resided for many years in Spain. A career English teacher, Suzi has taught students in public schools, private schools, and universities on three continents and in three languages. Alongside her teaching career, she has maintained a second career as a writer, editor, and translator. She is a true bilingual, with native command of English, Spanish, and Farsi. Rather late in life, Suzi received an MFA in Creative Writing from Boston University. Her writing has appeared in The Georgia Review, Fiction International, Glassworks Magazine, Narrative Northeast, Mobius Journal for Social Change, Quiddity International Literary Journal, and elsewhere. Her debut short story collection, titled Zan, was awarded the 2022 Dzanc Short Story Collection Prize and was published by Dzanc Books in June of 2024. Suzi’s cultural identity is a bit of a moving target, which makes it a paradox that she has resided, for the better part of the past two decades, on a 6-acre farm in Woodstock, Georgia, where she has an organic garden and keeps a small menagerie of animals. She currently teaches English Composition and Rhetoric at Kennesaw State University. In 2016, Suzi worked as a volunteer interpreter at a refugee camp in Lesbos, Greece. That was a life-changing experience for her, and she has been searching for meaningful volunteer opportunities in the Atlanta area ever since. She is delighted to have found Stella Love Non-Profit, which fills her heart with hope.

Kristofer Fix- With over 20 years of experience working with young adults in public and private schools of New York and Georgia, Kristofer Fix has designed Reflection to help people develop and achieve life goals and ultimately, facilitate transition to the next phase of their life. Kristofer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as a Master’s Degree in counseling. He is dedicated to helping all people in every sense of the word, but specializes in working with young adults with learning and or developmental disabilities in conjunction with their families. Kristofer also has years of experience helping people with addictions and mental health concerns. Mission: Producing a more confident, self-aware person. Reflection provides a fresh approach to life coaching and counseling. Clients who join the Reflection family will greatly benefit from the person-centered approach that Kristofer Fix has developed. By creating a trusting relationship with clients, progress is achieved and goals are accomplished. Reflection is unique because we offer a variety of services, such as social interactions, recreational activities, group discussions, private counseling, job readiness, job coaching, as well as life coaching. We strive to facilitate a true feeling of community amongst our clients, while having one primary goal: producing a more confident, self-aware person. Progress is not achieved in isolation; by creating a community for our clients, they progress in real world situation and make connections with potential lifelong friends. One of my favorite things to do is meet with families and help them connect with their ASD children. Something like this because a very unique thing you do is help them connect and feel comfortable enough around “their people” to be themselves. Hello! My name is Susanna Born. I grew up in East Cobb (just a little while ago...). I attended Emory University and Auburn University studying microbiology. After college, life took me on a journey to many different states for the next 20 years, a majority of it on the West coast. About 12 years ago, the decision was made to move back “home” as a majority of my family was here. So I returned, bringing along a husband, three precious children, as well as several pets. After time spent working in banking, the kids came along, and I became a stay at home mom for 20 years. During that time, I built upon my desire to build a stronger community by devoting my free time to volunteering. I wore many hats (some of which were way too big for me!). I started a mother’s program at our church, was president of a mom’s club, Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher, room mom, team mom, cross country coach, PTA social chair and treasurer, school front desk, auction chair, as well as many other roles. As my kids hit their mid-teens, I decided to return to work part-time, this time as a spa manager in downtown Roswell. I loved spending time with our wonderful clients and ensuring they enjoyed their day of rejuvenation. In my free time, you will find me enjoying hiking, travel, reading, board games and cooking. Working with many people in my customer service/volunteer roles and the challenges that may bring, I developed what my friends and colleagues have named a “resting smiley face”, because I tend to try to stay calm and positive even when things have gone haywire. I think service to your community is the cornerstone of a healthy society, so during the recent holiday season, I decided to volunteer with Stella Love, and found myself IN love with the amazing people involved with this organization,

hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education, and initially planned to become a teacher. However, through early work experiences, I discovered that I was better suited to the industrial sector. I found real fulfillment in leading projects and working in fast-paced, dynamic business environments. That shift in direction led me to pursue a different career path, and for over a decade, I worked as a Sales and Marketing Manager at a liquid chemical company in South Korea. I was born, raised, and educated in South Korea, where I spent most of my life. My role gave me the opportunity to travel internationally and work with people from a wide range of cultures, which broadened my perspective. Still, I never expected that I would one day relocate to the United States. A few years ago, my family moved to the U.S. due to my husband’s job transfer—a major life transition that brought both challenges and new opportunities for growth. While Korea has its own culture of donation and volunteering, I was truly struck by how broad and well-developed the nonprofit sector is in the United States. I came across Stella Love Non-Profit by chance, and was deeply inspired by Stella’s story—how she founded and continues to lead this organization with passion and vision. Her journey deeply moved me and inspired me to get involved and support the mission however I can. I love discovering new places, trying new things, and meeting people from different backgrounds. Although adapting to life in a new country has had its challenges, I see this experience as an ongoing journey of learning and growth. I'm still exploring how my skills and passions can best contribute here in the U.S., and being part of Stella Love has given me a renewed sense of purpose and connection to a community that truly makes a difference.
